| Wood Fires |
North City Heating started in business over 20 years ago selling only Woodfires and have the knowledge to give you the best advise when choosing a New Woodfire. We also offer an in home advisory service to ascertain the correct size of Woodfire to meet you heating needs and then have our Certified Fire Installers safely install the Wood Fire and Flue System according to the Manufacturers Specification. All residential properties under two hectares can only install Woodfire's that meet the new Clean Air Act requirements introduced in 2005 and all the models stocked by North City Heating meet these new Clean Air requirements. If your property is over two hectares then the Clean Air does not apply.
As a Woodfire requires a Building Consent from the local Council we will fill out all the paperwork required ready for our customers to lodge with the council.

| Freestanding Models |

Most of today's modern Woodfires only require an ash hearth and can be installed virtually anywhere within the house as long as the flue system can be installed straight up through the roof free of any combustibles in the way.

| Inbuilt Models |
There is a wide range of inbuilt models which are designed to be installed into existing masonry fireplaces and then a flue system is run up inside the existing chimney. Most manufacturers today also have Zero Clearance Boxes available and this enables the installation of an Inbuilt into modern homes that do not have a masonry chimney.
