North City Heating can quickly establish whether Natural Gas is in your street, through our detailed mapping system to determine if gas is available to your property.

North City Heating will arrange to visit your property to take measurements and complete a site sketch to cost and approve the connection.

| Signing up for the connection & selected appliances |

To begin the connection of gas to your property North City Heating will help you choose and sign up with a Gas Energy Retailer. North City Heating can complete a Gas connection as well as supply and install a full range of gas products.

| Installation of the Gas Meter |

Depending on what Energy Retailer you have signed with, North City Heating will organise to have the Gas Meter installed by the Energy Supplier in accordance with the regulations prior to the gas connection work starting.

| Connection to the Gas Network |
|
This involves connecting an underground gas pipe from the gas mains in the road to the meter position on the house. Before this work can begin, maps plans and council approval is needed. Once all of the necessary paperwork is finalised the gas connection can proceed. This process usually takes four or six weeks.

| Installation of the appliances |
Once the gas service is live your products can be installed. This can be either carried out by North City Heating's fully trained trades people or by your own gasfitter. Once installation is completed the gasfitter will issue a Gas Certificate, a copy will need to be sent to NCH who will advise your energy supplier that the service is now active.
